Actress Dascha Polanco will be starring in NBC’s new dark dramedy series, Dangerous Moms. The story will be based on the Spanish series Senoras del (h)Ampa and written by NAACP Award winner Janine Barrois.

The OITNB star has been cast in the pilot episode of Dangerous Moms. The series will follow a group of diverse mothers who are forced to work together and juggle their everyday lives after accidentally killing the head of their children’s school PTA while demonstrating a new high-end food processor.

Dascha will be playing as Pia, a mommy blogger who also happens to be the number one salesperson for the high-end TurboThunder3000 food processor. The Dominican beauty will be starring alongside Shameless actress Shanola Hampton (Monique), who plays Pia’s nemesis.

Polanco currently plays as Cuca in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical In The Heights. Fans can also expect to see her in the upcoming superhero thriller film Samaritan with Sylvester Stallone.
