Revord has also been seen in Wish Upon opposite Ryan Phillippe and Joey King, Modern Family, and Day by Day.
Raegan recently sat down with Glitter to discuss what her journey on Young Sheldon has been like, what originally attracted her to the project, her favorite part about playing the role, and a crossover project that we’d love to see. Read on to find out more about this incredibly talented actress who is just getting started.
GLITTER: Young Sheldon premiered back in 2017 and is now on its fourth season; what has that journey been like for you?
RAEGAN: I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by! You know, Montana was my age when he booked the show, and he just turned 18!! How is that even possible! It’s been one of the best experiences of my life. I love our cast and crew so much. They’ve all become like my family. Getting to travel the world and go to the Upfronts or Paleyfest at such a young age has given me memories that I’ll never forget!
GLITTER: What originally attracted you to the project?
RAEGAN: When I got the audition, it was such a busy time. It was right in the middle of pilot season, and I was going out for other things, but I kept asking my mom about the Sheldon project. I just loved Missy so much and felt I related to her in a lot of ways. She’s very independent and strong-willed. She definitely made me laugh, and I just knew she’d be a lot of fun to play.
GLITTER: What is your favorite part of playing Missy?
RAEGAN: Although I am older than Missy, I get to experience a lot of things through her, like what it is like to have siblings, grow up in a different era, go to middle school, play sports, and heartbreak. I love how Missy handles certain situations. I think she is a pretty brave and confident girl. I am learning a lot from her.
GLITTER: If you could do a crossover for Young Sheldon with any other show, which would you pick and why?
RAEGAN: If I could do a crossover with any show, I think I’d want it to be Schitt’s Creek. To get the chance to work with any of those actors would be amazing! Can you even imagine how funny the scenes would be with George and Johnny Rose or with Missy and Alexis! Omg!! How can we make this happen?
GLITTER: Any funny on-set stories you can share?
RAEGAN: Oh, there are so many over the past four seasons! One of my favorites was the episode when the Coopers became Neanderthals. We were in this makeup trailer forever, and watching the transformation happen was hysterical! Lance really got into character was making some crazy sounds and facial expressions. Filming that scene was nearly impossible because we all kept laughing!
GLITTER: If you could write Missy a storyline, what would it be and why?
RAEGAN: I have actually already come up with some ideas for Missy and pitched them to our writers. I don’t want to give anything away just in case they use them, but I’ll share one that I pitched in season 1 or 2. The idea was Missy entering a beauty pageant but doing it behind Mary’s back because Mary would never approve! Of course, Missy has no idea what she’s doing and looks like a hot mess, so Meemaw intervenes, and they have a sweet moment. I think I even said Billy Sparks would be in the audience cheering Missy on or something like that.
GLITTER: What is your favorite thing about the comedy genre? Is comedy your favorite genre to watch?
RAEGAN: Well, I love laughing and making other people laugh, so it’s something I’ve always enjoyed. One of my favorite moments that happens on set is sometimes our showrunner, Mr. Steve Molaro, will change a line on the spot, and it’s always so hilarious. We all usually have a good laugh, and then we film it. I love watching any genre. I’m not picky. My mom loves to watch the classics, so we always watch those together. My dad and I love action and Sci-Fi. I feel I have a wide range of what I watch, but I will not watch horror!!
GLITTER: How did you spend your free time during quarantine?
RAEGAN: In my pajamas, cuddling with my dogs mostly! Haha. We have a pool, so I swam a lot. My parents bought a pool volleyball net, and I swear I played so much that it felt like I was training for the Olympics. I read and wrote a lot!! I played music, FaceTimed with friends and family, and did a lot of baking!!
GLITTER: What would be considered a dream role for you?
RAEGAN: A dream role for me would to be a character in the MCU. I’m so obsessed. I love action movies, so being a superhero so that I can have stunts would be so cool!
