K-Pop Group NCT 127 Appears on Daytime Special ‘The Daily Show With Trevor Noah Presents: Remotely Educational’
NCT 127, the second sub-unit of k-pop boyband NCT, have made a guest appearance on The Daily Show’s newest daytime special, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: Remotely Educational.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah Presents: Remotely Educational is The Daily Show’s first-ever daytime special. The series consists of 30-minute episodes hosted by Trevor Noah. He and The Daily Show team lead satirical remote learning sessions to teach students lessons they won’t learn in school. The k-pop supergroup is featured in a 30-second segment of the episode, entitled “Today’s Special Lesson with special lesson guest NCT 127.”
The South Korean group’s short-but-sweet appearance in the teaser video features the band members offering a lesson on how to read. The lesson begins with the members joking about the true reason why fans should learn to read. They share, “In order to better understand and communicate with us, NCT 127, it’s very important to know how to read.” The group continued on by saying, “If you do so, you’ll be able to better understand us through these subtitles.” Though the boys’ lesson was short, fans took to Twitter to share what they learned.
Alongside the k-pop supergroup’s extra credit lesson on reading, the special featured a string of lessons from The Daily Show correspondents. Subjects such as commerce, the job of Transportation Security Administration, and real-life use of math were included in this. The special premiered on Comedy Central on Wednesday, March 10.
