Hollywood Romance Film ‘Malcolm & Marie,’ Starring Zendaya and John David Washington, Set for February 2021 Netflix Release

Netflix has just announced that their new film, Malcolm & Marie starring Zendaya and John David Washington, will be released in February 2021.

The release date of February 5, 2021, has been set for the highly anticipated new Netflix film Malcolm & Marie. New photos giving a first look at the black-and-white film have also been released, and fans are freaking out.

Malcolm & Marie follows the story of a well-known Hollywood director and his girlfriend, played by Washington and Zendaya. When the two return home from a movie premiere, details about their relationship begin to emerge, and it becomes unknown whether or not their relationship can withstand the bump in the road.

The film is written and directed by Sam Levinson, who is also the creator of Euphoria. Malcolm & Marie is executive produced by Kid Cudi and Yariv Milchan, who is the son of well-known film producer Arnon Milchan. Marcell Rév is responsible for the cinematography, and Levinson’s sister Ashley and Washington’s sister Katia also helped to co-produce and co-executive produce the project.

Malcolm & Marie is already being called a Black modern-day Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and it has just been submitted to be considered for the current award season. Netflix is also planning to launch an Oscar campaign for the film.

Fans are excited to see the film, and they’re left wondering when they’ll finally get to watch the trailer. Fans of Zendaya are hoping she takes home more awards after her historic Emmy win earlier this year for her role in Euphoria. Many are also noting the undeniable chemistry between the actress and Washington in the newly released photos.
