Everything You Need to Know About the 2020 People’s Choice Awards

Here is your full cheat sheet of everything to expect at this years’ ‘People’s Choice Awards’.

The People’s Choice Awards, hosted by E!, will be unique this year due to the ongoing pandemic. The show will take place virtually on Sunday, November 15, at 9 p.m.

Talented pop singer, Demi Lovato, is set to host the upcoming show. The star has won several People’s Choice Awards herself, “receiving five wins and 12 nominations across top categories such as Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Fan Following. ” We also know that Addison Rae, Jameela Jamil, and Allison Brie are a few of the presenters.

Additionally, we can expect performances from pop sensation Justin Bieber. Bieber has an impressive nomination list this year, “Bieber is the most-nominated male artist at this year’s PCAs… He’s up for 7 awards, including Male Artist of 2020, Song of 2020 for “Intentions” and “Stuck With U,” Album of 2020 for Changes, Music Video of 2020 and Collaboration of 2020 for “Holy” and Social Celebrity of 2020.” The famous duo Chloe x Halle will also be performing at the show.

With a total of 44 categories of awards, three new ones have been made:  The New Artist of 2020, The Collaboration Song of 2020, and The Soundtrack Song of 2020.

For the category “Movie of the 2020” the nominations are Bad Boys for Life, Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Extraction, Hamilton, Project Power, The Invisible Man, The Old Guard, and Trolls World Tour.

For music, the “Male Artist of 2020” nominees are: Bad Bunny, Blake Shelton, DaBaby, Drake, J Balvin, Justin Bieber, Lil Baby and, The Weeknd. The nominees for “Female Artist of 2020” are: Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift.
