TV Series, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Reboot Moves Forward

The TV reboot is going ahead at Amazon Prime Video for their spooky release.

I Know What You Did Last Summer  TV reboot will officially be available on Amazon Prime Video.

This new show will be a modern spin on the 1997 horror movie, which was inspired by the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. This twist on a classic story will be riveting to watch with its various episodes and seasons. “In a town full of secrets, a group of teenagers are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night,” the series description reads.

Fans are really excited about this reboot, along with the timing of it being October.

Aquaman‘s James Wan will be directing the pilot of the show, as well as executive producing the series.

Additionally, Preacher‘s Sara Goodman will be writing and executive producing the show. The production team will include Shay Hatten, Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Erik Feig, Rob Hackett, and Michael Clear. Goodman has been praised by Albert Cheng, the co-head and COO of Television at Amazon Studios.

“The best horror franchises always have another scare coming, and this I Know What You Did Last Summer series from Sara Goodman is a perfectly twisted update to the iconic slasher movie,” said Cheng. “Any way you slice it, our global Prime Video customers will love this modern take on the fan-favorite film.”

Additionally, the co-president of Sony Pictures Television Studios, Jason Clodfelter, commented on his excitement for the series. “We are thrilled to have I Know What You Did Last Summer with our incredible partners at Amazon Studios,” Clodfelter added.

Amazon has not confirmed a release date for the new series at this time. However, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this modern thriller you do not want to miss.
