Watch the First Trailer for Season 4 of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’
Netflix has just released the first trailer for the highly anticipated fourth season of The Crown.
The Crown, which provides viewers with a deeper look into the life of Queen Elizabeth, has been a Netflix phenomenon since its initial release in 2016. Now, the platform is gearing up for the shows fourth season with an intense first look. Season 4 of the Emmy-winning series will shift its focus towards a behind-the-scenes glimpse at Princess Diana’s relationship with Prince Charles and the Queen herself.
Viewers will have a front-row seat for the reenactment of the love story between Charles (Josh O’Connor) and Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin), including a peek at their famous wedding. The latest season will follow the royals throughout the ’80s and early ’90s and will include the complicated relationship between Queen and former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Many of the previous cast members are reprising their roles for the series including Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Erin Doherty as Princess Anne. Gillian Anderson is joining the cast as Thatcher. The Crown‘s official Twitter announced that, after this season, Tenet star Elizabeth Debicki will take on the role of an older Diana for seasons 5 and 6. Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones) will join her for the next two seasons as Prince Philip. For the upcoming season, Corrin will portray a 20-year-old Diana.
