Meek Mill Receives Raving Reviews for His Performance in the New HBO Max Movie, ‘Charm City Kings’

Rapper Meek Milk shows off his acting skills in the latest HBO Max film Charm City Kings. 

The highly anticipated film Charm City Kings is finally here, and it’s been receiving nothing but positive feedback. The trailer for the film was first released earlier this year, and fans have been eager to watch it ever since.

The film centers around fourteen-year-old Mouse, who is played by Queen & Slim’s Jahi Di’Allo Winston, as he tries to join the Baltimore dirtbike group, Midnight Clique. Mouse’s older brother, Stro was one of the group’s most well-known members before his death, which has had a major impact on Mouse.

Charm City Kings is an adaptation of the 2014 documentary, 12 O’Clock Boyswhich is named after one of Baltimore’s dirt bike crews. Many young Black boys in Baltimore use dirt biking as an escape from the difficulties of everyday life, with Baltimore being one of America’s most crime-ridden cities.

Meek Mill plays Blax, the leader of Midnight Clique, who begins to steer Mouse down the wrong path once the two become close. Fans are pleasantly surprised at Meek Mill’s acting skills in the film, and they’re eager to see what other roles he may have in store.

The film was directed by Angel Manuel Soto and produced by Overbrook Entertainment, with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith as the executive producers. Fans are loving the new film, and many have admitted shedding a few tears at the end.
