Zoe Zobrist’s New Single ‘All My Friends Are Dead’ and Music Video Are Out Now

Singer-songwriter Zoe Zobrist has just released her newest single “All My Friends Are Dead.”

Zoe is a 24-year-old singer, songwriter, musician, and model from Dallas Texas. Music has always been a constant in her life. She learned piano and began to write her own songs at the age of seven.

Musical theater was just what she needed to discover and embrace her love for performing. After discovering her dad’s 70’s record collection she became a classic rock fan. No other genre of music she tried compared or truly made her feel like herself the way learning and jamming to her favorite Zeppelin songs did.

Her journey began when she picked up the guitar at the age of 13, which led to her creating a band at 15. Zobrist‘s love for performing is still as alive as ever. She has sold out the Viper Room in Los Angeles and played venues such as the Six Flags Amphitheater in DFW, SXSW in Austin, and The Troubadour in Los Angeles. She also toured around Arizona and Texas.

Zoe was featured on John Mellencamp’s tour documentary. She released two EP’s followed by a single produced and co-written by DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit. In 2014, the singer spent the following four years writing and recording to really perfect the kind of artist she wanted to be, which included trying out different styles and exploring her artistry.

The result was a contemporary medley of a classic inspired alternative sound. Her writing delivers honesty, which comes from real-life experiences. This is what makes her sound so knowledgeable.

When I wrote this song, I had just turned 23. It seemed like time was flying by at an uncontrollable rate and LA felt like a pressure cooker. I ended up in this state of being numbed out and just felt sort of dead inside. A lot of the people around me seemed to as well but they just kept going and going. The contrast of those feelings with the upbeat groove of the instrumentation was a cathartic way to work myself out of that space,” Zobrist says.
