In a recent interview with Capital Breakfast, Shawn Mendes alluded that there might be a collaboration with Justin Bieber coming soon.

For months, fans have speculated that Mendes and Bieber have collaborated under wraps for Mendes’ upcoming album, Wonder which is being released December 4.

Now, with the help of the crew from Capital Breakfast, it seems as though Mendes has cheekily hinted the collaboration might be real.

In the interview with Roman Kemp, Sian Welby, and Sonny Jay, Welby introduced Mendes to a game called “I Wonder If It’s True,” a play on words of Mendes’ new single. Jay then asked, “I wonder if it’s true, Shawn, that you turned down a collaboration with Justin Bieber last month?”

Mendes quickly caught on to the question responding, “Is this you trying to get me to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber?” While showing off a cheeky smirk, he continued by saying, “If I turned one down, that would be insane, considering he’s been one of my favorite artists since I was like nine years old.”

The Canadian singer-songwriter then followed by saying he can’t either confirm or deny the collaboration. However, the smile he gave the camera makes us think otherwise.

The hosts then questioned Mendes on being spotted with Bieber a while back. Mendes threw a curveball by explaining how Bieber and himself have become closer in the last six months. “You know, to have the same type of life. It’s really cool to have him as a mentor in a lot of ways,” he says about his relationship with Bieber.

Fans are delighted with Mendes’ comments and have already caught on to his collaboration hints.

We sure will be waiting patiently along with their fans in hopes of hearing this collab soon.
