Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, and More Rock Their Best Tie-Dye Looks On Instagram

First made famous in the psychedelic wave of the 1960s and 1970s, tie-dye is back in the closet revamped with modern Gen Z fits.

While the technique of dying fabric using ties can be traced back to ancient history, we still do it today with as many colors as we can. Tie-dye as a political statement has been used to represent peace, harmony, and friendship just like it did with many hippies before us. Is it really such a surprise that with the new rising of political unrest, tie-dye is making a come back?

Take a look at these 10 pieces for your new tie-dye fascination.

1. Jaden Smith, right off the promo’s for his new album, having the time of his life in this colorful daydream.

Sitting here feeling pretty surreal right now! Releasing music is a very vulnerable thing to do. I’ve always been so insecure when debating releasing my music. Wondering if people would actually like it. Scared of being judged. Drew and I started working on music just for fun a year ago. We didn’t even know if we would ever release any of these songs so we never even told anyone we were working on music! Finally during quarantine we decided why not just drop the songs we wrote as a mixtape under “These girls these boys” I’m so happy we did and Thankyou to all of you guys and my friends for sharing and all the support & ❤️ love! Makes it all worth it. Excited for you guys to hear the couple others! I LOVE YOU. You can stream “Sleep when I’m dead” everywhere now⚡️🌈💕

We are living for all of these celebrities showing off their best tie-dye looks. With the last few weeks of summer, take the opportunity to try out one more art project. Grab some new joggers or a cropped hoodie and make your own one-of-a-kind creation that will make those summer vibes last through the fall. If anyone asks where you got that piece from, it would be inspiring to say you created it yourself.
