New Girl, the hit show about loft mates, ended in 2018, but now Jake Johnson talks about doing a reunion.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many people have been stuck at home with their roommates or family, and New Girl features comedy that the viewer may find relatable. Lamorne Morris, who played Winston, attributes the show making a come back to how the viewers can connect the cast with people they personally know.

On August 20, Jake Johnson, who played Nick, mentioned on an episode of Slate’s Thirst Aid Kit podcast how he felt a New Girl reunion was on the horizon. He talked about how the cast all communicate with each other frequently and how he would be shocked if there wasn’t something like a reunion sometime in the future.

Liz Meriwether, the creator of the show, was skeptical about whether or not she could convince Morris to participate in the possible reunion. Morris explains that if Meriwether was able to present a great story idea to him that it would be fun to get the old Crew back together again.

Some of the New Girl cast members, including Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone, and Damon Wayans Jr. Johnson, have already appeared on Johnson’s show, Hoops.

Right now nothing is set in stone, but hopefully, the fans of New Girl will be able to get one last final goodbye from the whole cast. You can watch the full seven seasons of New Girl on Netflix or any other streaming service.
