Newest ‘Batman’ Movie Is Halted After Robert Pattinson Tests Positive for COVID-19
Filming of the new Batman movie is further delayed from production due to Robert Pattinson testing positive for coronavirus, sending cast and crew back home.
The Batman had recently resumed filming, three days ago after shutting down production in early March due to the pandemic. Warner Brothers Studio is estimated to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars and potentially delay film release, again.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021, but had been pushed back until October 2021 after suspending production because of COVID-19.
According to Vanity Fair, Warner Bros. would not comment on any individual worker’s health, sharing only this statement: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.”
Although, it has now been confirmed through a highly placed source that Pattinson was the individual who became sick.

The film is set to star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The ensemble cast will also include Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell.
When production was originally paused, Pattinson had to stay in the UK along with other cast members. People that resided in Los Angeles, returned home but quarantined for two weeks before turning up on the set following government guidance.
Director Matt Reeves has three months of production left to finish with the anticipated film set to be released to theatres in October 2021. Fans are waiting patiently for the movie to be released to the big screen.
Reeves said at the DC Fandom event, “It’s a criminological experiment. He’s trying to figure out what he can do to finally change this place. You see that he’s charting what he’s doing, and he’s seeing he isn’t having any of the effects that he wants to have yet.”
