On August 6, 2020, Ava Max released her new song, “Kings & Queens Pt.2,” in collaboration with Lauv and Saweetie.

In March of 2020, Max released “Kings & Queens,” as part of her debut album, Heaven & Hell. The original, “Kings & Queens,” accumulated 72 million views and 1 million likes on YouTube. Both tracks, “Kings & Queens” and “Kings & Queens Pt.2,” are similar in their underlying message of empowerment. However, in “Kings & Queens Pt.2,” Lauv and Saweetie perfect the song further by adding their rapping skills and new lyrics.

In 2018, Max made a debut in the music industry through her single, “Sweet but Psycho.” It accumulated near 600 million views and 5 million likes on YouTube. The BET Award-nominated rapper, Saweetie, is best known for her iconic song, “ICY GRL,” and Lauv is famous for his “i’m so tired…” and “I Like Me Better” tracks.

In “Kings & Queens Pt.2,” Saweetie raps, “I’m a queen, I’m a boss, I’m a brat / Hella independent, I get this, I get that,” and she continues, “My name on they lips, my name on they minds / How I take it from the block to the Hollywood sign.” Max finishes the song with a famous line, “If all of the kings had their queens on the throne / We would pop champagne and raise a toast.

“Kings & Queens Pt.2” is a hymn of gender equality and encourages all women to be fearless and unapologetically themselves. Click the link down below to listen to the full song.

The trio has never collaborated before, but their newest song only proves that we can’t wait for them to release more songs together.
