Teyana Taylor Meets M.A.C Cosmetics

Teyana Taylor doesn’t fall short of any talent as she is a singer-songwriter, actress, choreographer, and director – and now a M.A.C collaborator!

Watch out world, she’s done it again! With over a year in the making, you’re absolutely going to love this new MAC collection.

In 2005, Taylor signed a deal with Pharrell Williams’ Star Trak Entertainment, but this born and bred city girl didn’t stop there. She continued to produce music and found herself acting in a handful of movies and television shows. From The Love Section to Honey: Rise Up and Dance to the newest American comedy film, Coming 2 America, Teyana has spent years sharing her talent with the rest of the world.

Now, we get to see Teyana’s Harlem-inspired makeup line come to light with her newest partnership with the one and only, M.A.C. Cosmetics. The multi-talented star took to Instagram to reflect on her transition from always being a loyal customer to now seeing herself on the cover of their print.

Wow yo! I remember walking by the Mac store on 125th street coming from school, amazed at all the dope campaign ads spread across floor to ceiling windows & on other major department stores. MAC Cosmetics really inspired me because they were one of the first mainstream companies to fearlessly and unapologetically embrace woman of color and the LGBTQ Community. That was big for me being a young black girl from Harlem telling myself that one day that would be me plastered in that window! Long story short, and by the grace of God, here I am with my own up and coming capsule collection for M•A•C!!!!! 😩😩 On that note I’m proud to officially announce my collaboration & partnership with Mac cosmetics!!! I’m so grateful and excited to be sharing this beautiful collection I created with the MAC team and so happy the cat’s finally out the bag!! But most importantly, I’m hoping to inspire other young black women that anything and everything is possible & that our black is STUNNING!!! 💕 #MACteyanataylor coming July 2020!!! @maccosmetics 📸: @danielsannwald P.S. this red glossy lip I’m wearing is from my collection!! 💋

Teyana shared how it had been her dream to work with the cosmetic brand since she was 15 years old!  She also stated how she had always been inspired by the brand because “they were one of the first mainstream companies to fearlessly embrace women of color and the LGBTQ community.”

We’re so excited to see the new line, and inspired to chase our own dreams as well.
