Just in Time for the Weekend, the Weeknd Releases New Remix Featuring Doja Cat

If you need a new banger to get you through the weekend, you won’t want to sleep on this new hit remix.

The Weeknd has the hottest new collaboration out with Doja Cat. Talk about a dynamic duo. The newly released remix came from the original song that was released in March 2020 on the Weeknd’s album After Hours.

A contemporary groove behind all four minutes of the song, the song features lyrics that talk about a certain guilt he feels from being unfaithful in his relationship. On the Contrary to his previous album, Blinding Lights, the Weeknd shifted the tone of his music from an upbeat and vibrant mix, to a smoother contemporary mix. All of which goes to show how the Weeknd is all you need for any and every mood.

The chorus of the song addresses a woman who tries to hide her true feelings but her eyes reveal it all: “In your eyes / I see there’s something burning / inside you / Oh, Inside you / In your eyes / I know it hurts to smile, but you try to / Oh, you try to / You always try to hide the pain / You always know just what to say / I always look the other way / I’m blind, I’m blind / In your eyes / You lie, but I don’t let it define / you / Oh, define you.”

Fans expressed their excitement over the remix on Twitter.

Sharing more about the back and forth unfaithfulness, Doja Cat comes into the mix to blow us away.
