Take a Trip to Chromatica in Lady Gaga’s New Cover

Lady Gaga is breaking the internet with her newest Paper Magazine cover..

Two weeks ago, Gaga returned to the music world by dropping her latest single, “Stupid Love,” as a teaser for her upcoming album, Chromatica, coming April 10.

The pop queen shakes things up a bit in this futuristic inspired shoot. Every inch of Lady Gaga’s 5’2″ body was 3D scanned for the sake of the art project. Photographer, Frederik Heyman, used this to create a computer-generated image of the singer which was then used for the transformation into the half-human and half-robot Chromatica photoshoot.

On the cover, she poses nude with various plugs and wires stemming from her body making her a cyborg human creature. In the other photos, Mother Monster can be seen in full Balenciaga riding a half-robot horse, fighting a fellow cyborg horse. Another image shows her hooked up to more wires while in a glass box.

In the interview, Gaga talks about the inspiration behind her upcoming Chromatica album. According to Gaga, Chromatica is named after a world “that celebrates all things,” and where “no one is greater than one another.” It sounds like a world that everyone should live in. Read the full interview here.
