RCA Records

Summer Walker, Gunna, Chris Brown, and more hop on the king of afrobeat’s new project.

Davido kicked off his birthday dropping his second studio album entitled A Good Time. This is his first major project since his 2016 EP Son of Mercy and first album since his 2012 debut, Omo Baba Olowo. “The album’s called A Good Time and we had that making the album,” Davido told Complex. “It’s also a good time for African music at the moment. I haven’t dropped an album in a long time—mostly singles—so it’s an important moment for me.”

This is has been an eventful year for Atlanta native. In January, Davido performed at London’s 02 Arena where he made history by becoming the very first African American to sell out the entire venue. His massive hit “Fall” dominated Billboard’s Hot R&B chart, going on to be noted as the longest charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history, as well as being one of America’s most Shazamed songs of this year. The accompanying video then broke a record as the first song by a Nigerian artist to break through the 100 million views mark on YouTube.

This is just the beginning for Davido as we know he has much in store for 2020, including a tour that he will soon be releasing. For now you can check out Davido’s latest studio album A Good Time.
