Watch the Stunning Visuals for Tory Lanez’s New Song ‘Beauty in the Benz’

Interscope Records

Tory Lanez has released his new video for “Beauty in the Benz” featuring Snoop Dogg, and the visuals are a stunning example of Black Girl Magic.

The song remakes Snoop Dogg’s 2003 hit single “Beautiful.” The video is directed by Child and the visual includes a full and diverse cast of women. Lanez managed to feature R&B powerhouse Alicia Keys for a cameo where she shares her thoughts on the true meaning of beauty along with three other women. Throughout the video, there are various shots of different women who exhibit their various strengths such as dancers, mothers, artists, and athletes.

“Beauty in the Benz” is from Lanez’s Chixtape 5, which was released on Nov. 14. This release arrives more than eight years after the initial Chixtape release. With an 18-song track list and skits, Chixtape 5 features many samples and guest verses from Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Jagged Edge, Fabolous, Ashanti, and more.

The celebratory visual highlights the stunning and unique variations of African-American women from different walks of life and all sizes, shapes, and shades. Lanez collaborated with female director Child, who is known for her talent and distinctive technique of shooting and capturing brown skin. Not only is the video a cast full of women, but the production crew was fully-female, as well. The visual salutes the effortless characteristics and abilities of the Black woman of today. Instead of shots focusing on himself and Snoop, the Toronto native highlights the loving, passionate, nurturing strength and protective demeanor that is the African-American woman. This is personified in a scene where the women come together surrounding a young male.

The appreciation for and adoration of the African-American woman in this video are astonishing to watch, and with many more songs requiring videos from Lanez’s album, we can’t wait to explore them more.
