The movie will be based on a true story about women who expose their boss for sexual harassment.

Bombshell is starring Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson. The film depicts women’s struggle in a culture of harassment and the internal struggle of a crumbling newsroom. Margot Robbie will also co-star as a fictionalized character, an ambitious associate producer trying to make a name for herself at Fox.

The film is centered upon women of Fox News and their allegations against the founder, Roger Ailes, who will be played by John Lithgow. In 2016, a massive scandal surfaced the country when Gretchen Carlson sued Ailes for sexual harassment. This led more women, like Megyn Kelly, to come forward and share their experiences. With additional support of the #MeTooMovement, there was over 20 women that could recall harassment from Ailes which ended in his resignation from his CEO position.
