Mandy Moore has released her second single recently titled “I’d Rather Lose,” from her upcoming album. Moore’s newest song follows the release of the singer-songwriter’s first new single “When I Wasn’t Watching”. Her new musical vibe has been described by The Atlantic as “…folkie rock pop, building on a lineage running from Fleetwood Mac to Haim.” Moore’s vocals shine through both new tracks that are set to appear on her first new album in a decade, to be released early next year via Verve Forecast.

Emmy, Grammy, and Golden Globe-nominated actress, singer, and songwriter, Mandy Moore, recently signed with Verve Forecast. The label’s roster also includes artists T Bone Burnett and J.S. Ondara. Moore began recording her new album earlier this year, in a purposeful departure from her typically heavily pop material. She’s worked closely on the project with long-time collaborator and producer Mike Viola. The singer is even preparing to head on tour shortly after the release, as she’s recently asked her fans where they’d like her to come.

While we await the full new album from Mandy Moore, we can continue watching her on the hit television show This is Us, (from which she has received her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her role as matriarch Rebecca Pearson). Along with her release of new music, we can see Moore alongside Woody Harrelson in Roland Emmerich’s feature film Midway.

Keep an eye out for the release of Mandy Moore’s full album, but while you wait make sure to listen to “When I Wasn’t Watching” and “I’d Rather Lose”.
