90’s Romance Classic ‘Love Jones’ Set to Stream on Netflix
One of the popular 90’s classics, Love Jones, starring Larenz Tate and Nia Long, will officially be available for streaming on November 9th.
Netflix recently has dropped many popular 90’s classics and the romantic drama “Love Jones” is the newest addition. Love Jones, released in 1997, starred Nia Long as Nina Mosley and Larenz Tate as Darius Lovehall. Tate’s character falls in love with Long’s character, but soon the lovers find complications that get in the way of their relationship. The movie received positive reviews and even received a nomination for Long’s performance at the NAACP Image Award.
The 90’s romance movie is set to come to Netflix on November 1st. Fans are excited about the release but also want Netflix to bring many other African American classic 90’s movies and television shows to the streaming site. Some fans are even tweeting Netflix to bring the hit show “Girlfriends” next.

The news regarding Love Jones also surprisingly comes on Nia Long’s birthday. Although Netflix might not have planned the timing, Long celebrated her 47th birthday the same day as the announcement. One viewer noticed the connection and brought it to Twitter.

Despite the connection, the addition of Love Jones will be another great 90’s film addition to the streaming platform for viewers to reminisce.
