The old and new school legends rock the house, performing a rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On”.

The Global Citizen Festival took place in New York City’s Central Park on September 28th, 2019. The goal of the festival is to raise awareness of plastic pollution, women’s rights, and poverty. Some of the legendary artists headlining the event were Queen, Adam Lambert, Pharrell Williams, Onerepublic, and Carole King.

With Alicia Keys and H.E.R., the two Grammy-winning artists took the stage to give an electrifying performance. Alicia stuck to her guns on the keys, and H.E.R. played the electric guitar, allowing for the crowd to feel the talent oozing off the stage. After their performance a picture of H.E.R. as a young girl and Alicia Keys surfaced the internet. The photo was a testament to H.E.R.’s growth as an artist in the last few years of her life.

The two songstresses went on to thank each other for the experience on Twitter.

Since the first Global Citizen Festival in 2012, this will be Alicia Keys third appearance, and H.E.R.’s first. Be sure to check out their performance!

We can only hope to see a collaboration with the two artists again in the future.
