Lana Del Rey Releases Video for Sublime Cover

Lana Del Rey has always been a great beauty, but now she takes on beauty with much more height in her new music video.

Del Rey has recently let fans see music videos for her new songs “F*ck it I love you” and “The Greatest”, but her new music video for her cover of Sublime’s “Doin’ Time”, puts a creative spin on the classic song.

In the video, a gigantic Rey walks around a sunny L.A. The song has been slowed down to fit Rey’s musicianship style drawing more attention to the track’s lyrics. They depict the prison-like condition of a relationship with a cheater. However, Rey juxtaposes the song’s melancholy message with her careless wreckage of the city. In the end, she addresses the subject matter, grabbing her cheating boyfriend’s car, with him inside, and dropping it from her impressive height.

We absolutely love what Lana Del Rey has done with this song, and are excited for more to come.

Check out the surreal video and stream her new album, Norman F*cking Rockwell.
