Normani had her first MTV solo performance last night at the VMA Awards.

The pop-star was nothing short of exceptional last-night to set the tone of the show. She performed her new single, “Motivation”, that was choreographed by Sean Bankhead. He has choreographed for Fifth Harmony, Missy Elliot, and many more high profile clients. The show included a female and male group to accompany Normani, however, the most interesting aspect of the act was her electrifying solo.

Normani channeled her inner gymnast, giving us a back-walkover, splits, and all the energy needed to wow the audience. Snippets from the performance began trending on Twitter. She then made a post showing her gratitude for the opportunity.

The most exciting aspect of last night is that this is just the beginning for Normani. We look forward to seeing what her bright future holds. Make sure you check out her single “Motivation” that is thirty-three on the Billboard Charts right now. It is streaming on all platforms.
