Storm Reid Stars in a New Animated Series on Hulu

She’s traveled through time, but she’ll be taking on a new challenge this summer.

On June 21st, Hulu is releasing an animated series for kids called The Bravest Knight. The series is based on the children’s book written by best selling author, Daniel Errico titled The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived.

The series follows Nia (Storm Reid), a young girl on a journey to become a brave knight. Throughout this journey she listens to stories from her dad, Sir Cedric, of how he was once a pumpkin farmer who became a knight. The Bravest Knight is soon to become a groundbreaking series as it features an openly gay couple in Sir Cedric and his husband Prince Andrew. Children living in same-sex households will now see themselves and their families represented positively on a major platform.

T.R. Knight, Bobby Moynihan, Storm Reid, RuPaul, Christine Baranski and Wanda Sykes are among the stellar voice cast set for The Bravest Knight, Hulu’s groundbreaking animated kids series based on Daniel Errico’s popular children’s book The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived, from Big Bad Boo Studios. The first five episodes of the series will launch June 21 on Hulu, followed by additional episodes later this year. 🏆 —- 💚 Counting my blessings one by one and so thankful to be a part of this amazing cast playing the role of NIA. Bravest Knights is the new original HULU series breaking boundaries, featuring a household with two dads (Sir Cedric and Prince Andrew), making it one of the first children’s television series with openly queer main characters. So happy that kids will be able to fall in love with the characters and the concept of being comfortable with loving whomever they choose at a very early age. Waaaaay before they are affected by the judgements of this very cruel world. Kudos @HULU 💚
