Check out Netflix’s New Original Anime: ‘Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac’

With an amazing year in animes, Netflix soon to release Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac will only add to it.

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac is an original anime based on the manga series by Masami Kurmada. The manga has maintained its level of popularity over the past three decades as it was first popular in the ’80s. With multiple characters and spin-offs focused on the adventures of other heroes, Netflix’s goal of rebooting the franchise is a huge shift for them.

What’s the plot of the show? It follows the story of an orphan named Seiya. He’s forced to go to a sanctuary in Greece to obtain the Bronze Cloth of the Pegasus constellations but the cloth is actually a protective armor worn by the Greek goddess Athena and her 88 warriors called the Saints. Seiya starts his journey in becoming the Pegasus Saint amidst his quest in finding his missing sister.  Of course, the story will also follow the same narrative as the manga but in anime tradition, so they won’t exactly be the same.

Seiya will be voiced by Masakazu Morita (Bleach, Tiger & Bunny, Dragon Ball Super: Broly). Sakurai Takahiro (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), Satomi Sato (The Irregular at Magic High School), Miura Hiraoka (Please Teacher!) Katsuyuki Konishi (Kill la Kill, Bleach) and Fumiko Orikasa (Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood) are the other confirmed cast members.
