Elyfer Torres Makes Her Debut in ‘Betty En NY’

This year, Telemundo presents a fresh take on a classic, Ugly Betty.

Elyfer Torres will be playing Beatriz “Betty” Aurora Rincón Lozano, an intelligent, Mexican-American woman who graduated with honors as an economist with a masters degree in finance. In parallel with the original, Betty will face rejection many times in search of her dream job simply because of her looks. However, she persists in a bright and positive way, landing her an unexpected but rewarding position.

In an interview where Torres plays her character, she reveals that she accepted a job as a personal assistant to the president of the fashion agency V&F Fashion, Armando Mendoza. Her character will depict an unconventional role in her new work environment, tackling themes of judgment, struggle, positivity and acceptance.
