Maroon 5 Confirmed for Super Bowl Halftime Show
Maroon 5 will be headlining the halftime show for the 2019 Super Bowl.
While the NFL has yet to discuss the news directly, Variety released a report confirming the performance from multiple sources earlier today. The pop-rock band will be following up this year’s performer, Justin Timberlake—an artist with a similar sound and style.

The response to the chosen performer has been controversial. Many viewers believe that in tribute to this year’s Super Bowl location, Atlanta, the halftime performance should be given by a hip-hop artist.
With how diverse and talented the music scene is in Georgia, Maroon 5 for halftime of Super Bowl in Atlanta?
It’s the Dirty South! The ATL!
Outkast, Usher, Ludacris, Future, Gucci Mane, Migos, T.I., Lil’ Jon, Ying Yang?

The NFL could’ve had the greatest Dirty South concert ever with Outkast, Ludacris, 2 Chainz, Future, Lil’ Jon, T.I., Jeezy, & Gucci Mane all being from Atlanta, but instead they went with……..Maroon 5 for the Super Bowl. What are we even doing?

However, there is a bright side that could bring satisfaction to disappointed Atlanta natives. Speculations are swarming that the band might be joined on-stage by Cardi B and Travis Scott. After Maroon 5’s summer chart-topper, “Girls Like You”, the possibility is not far off.
Despite the criticism, Maroon 5 is bound to give a mind-blowing performance this Super Bowl season.
