Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa Have Become Very Close After Surgery
Last summer Selena Gomez needed to go through a critical surgery to get a new kidney.
The person who decided to donate their kidney to Selena was Francia Raisa. Francia Raisa was in an interview with Harry Connick Jr. She talked about the surgery and how it affected both of them. Francia said that their surgery was in June. They wanted to keep the surgery and recovery private and just be with relatives. Because of this surgery the two of them have become very close and the best of friends.
I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process. This was part of our story, and we will share it soon, but what is important now is that this is not the only story. The recovery process for the both of them was also a little different. Francia said, “It’s harder as the donor because we are losing something our body didn’t need to lose, so trying to recover from that and she’s gaining something her body needed. So she’s up and at it immediately and I had a hard time.” This was also difficult for Francia because she was not able to be active for two months. She said how she is a very active person and it was hard to do while recovering.
Having a best friend that is willing to give a part of them to you to help save your life is such an amazing thing. Selena Gomez not only gained a better life but also a bigger family.
