Family of Fallen Soldier Furious with Trump
Trump falsely stated that Obama never called the families of fallen soldiers.
For the widow of Sgt. La David T. Johnson, she probably wishes the current President didn’t bother calling. Sgt. Johnson was one of four men who died during a training exercise in Niger. Representative Frederica Wilson of Florida was in the car with Johnnson’s widow, Myeshia, on the way to meet her husband’s body when they received the call.
The Representative recalls the President telling Myeshia, “But you know he must’ve known what he signed up for.” After the phone call ended, Wilson told MSNBC that Myeshia turned to her and mention that the President didn’t even remember her husband’s name.
Myeshia’s mother in law, who was also present for the call, told the Washington Post that Wilson’s account of the phone call is correct. She stated that her, along with her husband and daughter, were disrespected by the comments the President made.
President Trump, in usual Trump fashion, made a comment on his Twitter, essentially saying that Wilson is lying. However, that “proof” he mentions hasn’t made an appearance.
Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!

Our hearts break for Myeshia and everyone who is grieving the loss of these four brave soldiers. We pray that you may find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
