A New ‘Proud Family’ Could Be Coming Soon

Disney

This might be the moment “90’s babies” have been longing for.

In a recent interview with Where Is The Buzz TV, actor and comedian, Tommy Davidson revealed that The Proud Family will be returning to Disney’s streaming app.

“I forgot to tell you … Proud Family [is] coming back … They told me not to tell anybody”, said Davidson.

The cast of the much-loved television show included Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Parker-Proud), Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Karen White (Dijonay), Soleil Frye (Zoey), Alisa Reyes (LaCienega), and Orlando Brown (Sticky). We can’t forget Solange and Destiny’s Child in The Proud Family theme song – it’s still a bop 14 years later. The original series ran on Disney Channel from 2001-2005 with over 52 aired shows. The Disney Original Movie, The Proud Family Movie, aired in 2005 as the series finale.

Did we mention the show might return with all-new episodes? Epic. Disney has not yet confirmed the reboot so it is unclear if the original full cast will be returning, but the big news certainly got fans excited.

Other Disney Classics such as That’s So Raven, Boy Meets World, and Kim Possible will also be available to stream on the Disney+ app.

Disney+ will launch on November 12th and can be purchased for $6.99 per month.
