It Looks like ‘The Little Mermaid’ May Have Their Prince Eric with Singer/Actor Harry Styles
Singer/actor Harry Styles may be the newest Prince Eric in the live-action remake of Disney’s 1989 The Little Mermaid. Harry Styles originally started out as a member of the popular boy band One Direction than releasing his self-titled album in 2017 and it must be said that did extremely well, Harry also made his big film debut as an actor in the 2017 war film Dunkirk. In the Disney 1989 animated movie, Prince Eric didn’t actually sing but the new film is said to feature the original playlist with some new songs to add from Lin Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken.

However, Harry’s role is still in the early stages of negotiation. Actress Halle Bailey announced last month that she would be playing Princess Ariel, so things seem to be pulling together for this film. We certainly think Harry Styles would be a great fit for Prince Eric and it seems fans do too.

It is expected to be released in 2020. We are looking forward to the future premier of the live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
