Austin Butler Set to Play Elvis Presley in New Warner Bros Movie

Austin Butler will be playing the role of a true musical icon on the big screen. 

American actor, Austin Butler is known for many great roles from James ‘Wilke’ Wilkerson III in Switched at Birth to Wil Ohmsford in The Shannara Chronicles. Now, he is going to play what could be one of the greatest roles: that of Elvis Presley. Warner Bros Studios is set to produce a film that will dive deep into the life of Elvis Presley throughout his rise to fame and has chosen Butler as the star. Butler was chosen by director Baz Luhrmann from various potential candidates, including Ansel Elgort and Harry Styles.

Now that Butler has been cast, he will perform alongside Tom Hanks, who is set to play Elvis’ manager Colonel Tom Parker.  The film will be shot next year, which means that, unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a while before we can see Butler’s performance. We are anxiously anticipating Austin Butler’s performance as the icon that is Elvis Presley, a man who changed music forever.
