Dove Cameron’s Eulogy to the Late Cameron Boyce Is Deeply Moving

Instagram

Dove Cameron opened up about the loss of her close friend Cameron Boyce in a heartfelt video on Instagram. She said she had just returned from talking to a therapist and, after feeling a conflict between processing her grief internally versus on social media, decided that the best way forward for her at that moment was to try to vocalize what she was feeling. She wrote a beautiful letter and eulogy for Boyce and read it to her followers

“I’ve never stuttered or been unable to speak before these last few days. My system is still in shock and my brain is still foggy and full of holes. But I am going to try to write…to Victor and Libby and Maya: You are all I can think about. My heart aches for you. I am broken for you. I have close to nothing left, which tells me some small percentage about how you must be feeling. I am so sorry.”

Dove went on to say that Cameron was an “Earth Angel,” and that he had “talked [her] down from countless ledges,” helped her through eating disorders and other dark phases in her life.
