The performance was organized by Law Works and produced by Abigail Disney, Timothy Disney, and Susan Disney Lord. The adaptation was written by Robert Schenkkan, a Pulitzer Prize-Winning playwright known for The Kentucky Cycle.

The purpose of the performance was to help get the details of the Mueller Report out to the public. Because the Mueller Report was a 448-page document, many Americans do not have the time or patience to read it despite the fact that the FBI alerted the public that it “deserves the attention of every American.”

Art has long been used as a way of educating the populace on current events, dating all the way back to Ancient Greece. Artists everywhere have been attempting to create adaptations and summaries of the Mueller Report—spanning from illustrated graphic novels to audio readings—so that Americans can read or watch them and learn about what is going on as quickly as possible.
