Baby Phat Announces Reboot with Forever 21

Former supermodel Kimora Lee Simmons Leissner announced earlier this year that she planned to relaunch her clothing label Baby Phat. Even better, the relaunch will include a Forever 21 collaboration.

Baby Phat will be revitalized in September and the plan is to have items priced between $3.90 and $38.00. Sizes will run through plus (size 4x) in order to be body inclusive.

The now woman-owned street clothing line will be featuring the iconic cat design that was originally popularized in 1999. The move is considered a throw-back to the late ‘90’s/early ‘00’s and is exciting fans and celebrities alike.

Kimora told People magazine that the relaunch is “the rebirth of my baby,” back in March. She said the company is run by her and her daughters and that her daughters will be carrying the torch. “We’re like the Three Musketeers.” Kimora’s daughters, Ming Lee & Aoki Lee, are both businesswomen interested in fashion. Ming Lee attends college for business and fashion in New York and Aoki Lee intends to begin college next year.
