Selena Gomez and Katherine McNamara played a game of softball to help raise money for Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Since 2010, Big Slick Celebrity Weekend is a celebrity-hosted event that raises money for Children’s Mercy. According to the foundation’s website, it has raised more than $8 million since its creation. The foundation was initially started by Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd and former SNL cast member Jason Sudeikis. The two put on a successful poker tournament to raise money for the hospital and since then many celebrities have added their name on the list of Big Slick Celebrity Weekend.

One of those celebrities is singer and actress Selena Gomez. On June 7th, after she met and greeted with some young patients of the hospital, she participated in a game of softball to raise money for pediatric cancer research. The game included her playing with some other famous celebrities too like Katherine McNamara, Eric Stonestreet, and Cobie Smulders.

The event was a huge success because the foundation helped raise over $2 million dollars.
