GLITTER: Did you always want to be an actress?
LEXI: Honestly I really have always wanted to be an actress. I was introduced to it when I was very young and by the age of five I told my parents it’s definitely what I wanted to do. I started to be taken seriously around the age of eight and I worked my way into an adult acting class.
GLITTER: What can you tell us about Knight Squad on Nickelodeon without giving anything away?
LEXI: Well, season two is just beginning to air and it’s filled with so many GIANT surprises! Season two actually has my favorite episode we’ve ever filmed. The episode is called Election Day, so be sure to look out for it!
GLITTER: How did you audition for the show?
LEXI: I originally auditioned for the role of Ciara, but I was told I was too tall. Instead of sending me away, casting asked me to cold read for Prudence with only five minutes to prepare! Immediately I connected with Prudence and then went through three more rounds of callbacks/testing before being cast.
GLITTER: What is it like playing Prudence? Are you like her in any way in real life?
LEXI: Definitely! Prudence and I are both loyal, determined and sarcastic. We also never turn down the opportunity to snack!
GLITTER: What is your top travel item for the girl on the go that you cannot live without?
LEXI: My earbuds and chapstick!
GLITTER: What is your best kept beauty secret?
LEXI: I love to use organic avocado or organic plum oil on my face after I wash it!
GLITTER: What do you love to do in your spare time?
LEXI: I’ve always enjoyed horseback riding and going to the beach. I love being outdoors and spending time catching up on Netflix shows while hanging out with my two rescue pups!
GLITTER: If you weren’t an actress, what would you want to do instead?
LEXI: I think something with cultural anthropology or marine biology.
GLITTER: How do you stay grounded in this business?
LEXI: Definitely my parents and also close friends. They really keep me grounded and I always remember to stay grateful for what I have.
GLITTER: What is something fans may not know about you?
LEXI: I love classic cars! I think they are so cool.
GLITTER: What environmental issues are you most passionate about?
LEXI: At the moment there are more than one. I’m truly concerned about the lack of clean water, pollution of our ocean, the poaching of our animals, and the rapid decline of bees. We really only have one planet to live on and yet we continue to kill it. It deeply saddens me and I hope that everyone can think about making at least one small change in their life to help! My family and I have become very aware about the harm that can come from plastic straws to our earth and now we only use reusable or paper ones!
GLITTER: What is your mantra?
LEXI: Everything happens for a reason. My dad will say “Carpe Diem” to me before every meeting.
GLITTER: Favorite book right now?
LEXI: Anything with adventure!
GLITTER: What Pottermore house do you belong in?
GLITTER: Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tell us about?
LEXI: A few things I’m super excited about, but can’t talk about yet. I’m also just enjoying Knight Squad season 2!
GLITTER: What positive message do you hope to send women who follow you?
LEXI: As hard as it can be, and as much as I wish I could take this advice more often, don’t compare yourself to others! Everyone’s journey is different. Always be honest and kind to yourself, and surround yourself with people who treat you well.
GLITTER: Many women are coming forward in media and standing up for their rights as women. How important is this issue to you?
LEXI: Extremely important. Everyone deserves the right to be heard and listened to.
GLITTER: Glitter has a Celebrity #SelfLoveCampaign, what’s self-love mean to you?
LEXI: Self-love to me is more than the physical aspect. Yes, a big part is learning to love your body and everything that makes you unique, but I feel an even more important part is the love of who you are as a person. I believe that comes from how you treat other people and taking time to be kind to yourself.
GLITTER: How can fans follow you?
