GLITTER: What would you say was your big break?

SAMANTHA: My biggest break was when I booked The Broadway show, The Lion King.
GLITTER: What can you tell us about your upcoming role on the new Netflix series, What/If, without giving anything away?
SAMANTHA: My role on What/If is a badass black woman with some heightened personal issues. Haha.
GLITTER: Who do you play? How are you like or unlike your character?
SAMANTHA: Angela is definitely a reflection of me. It was nice to experiment with a stranger’s strengths and weaknesses. I mean, I’m married on the show but in real life, HA! That language is foreign to me. Acting yay.

GLITTER: What other shows have you appeared on? What Broadway shows have you been in?

SAMANTHA: My television debut was the role of Jane Hayward on the final season of Glee, I’ve guest starred on a few things here and there, but before TV I was involved with Broadway productions such as The Lion King, The Book of Mormon and Hamilton.

GLITTER: Who is your dream collaboration with?

SAMANTHA: Dream collab, Ava DuVernay.

GLITTER: What do you love doing in your free time?

SAMANTHA: My free time? Me time.

GLITTER: How do you balance your daily life with acting?

SAMANTHA: Writing. Traveling. Affirmations.

GLITTER: Best advice you were ever given?

SAMANTHA: Best advice I’ve been given? Let it go.

GLITTER: What pushes and motivates you on a daily basis?

SAMANTHA: My motivation is my inner child, my present self, and the woman I’m evolving into.

GLITTER: How do you help break the glass ceiling?

SAMANTHA: How do I help break the glass ceiling? As far as I’m concerned, it’s been shattered for a while, the real issue, in my opinion, is rooted in the structure of how this country was built. It’s not women’s responsibility to break anything. We’ve been building our own path for centuries.

GLITTER: Favorite book?

SAMANTHA: My favorite book right now is The Body Keeps The Score.

GLITTER: Favorite outdoor activity?

SAMANTHA: I just love walking around my neighborhood when I need time to myself to just feel free.

GLITTER: Glitter has a Celebrity #SelfLoveCampaign, what’s self-love mean to you?

SAMANTHA: Self-love to me is going to therapy once a week.

GLITTER: Do you have any new projects coming up that you can tell us about?

SAMANTHA: The next project I’m involved in is the original Netflix Series, What/If.
