ReadGlitter’s exclusive interview below to get the scoop on Peyton List.

GLITTER: Did you always want to be an actress?

PEYTON: I really did. I was that kid who dreamed about being an actress and would put on shows around the house or edit short films with my friends. I always loved getting to express myself through a character.

GLITTER: What was it like growing up as a Disney starlet?

PEYTON: It felt like my normal teenage years. I experienced everything you normally do as a teenager behind the scenes. So grateful for the cast on those shows. I just saw Cameron and Karan the other night and they were my only fellow high school students on set, and I just thought about how grateful I am for them. We were all in the same boat trying to navigate the insanity that was our adolescence on a show.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about the Hulu supernatural thriller, Light as a Feather? Who did you play?

PEYTON: Light as a Feather follows four best friends who as a part of their Halloween tradition to play a creepy game in the cemetery play light as a feather. Everything from the game starts to come to fruition. I play Olivia Richmond one of the four best friends. Also, everyone should catch up because second season is about to start filming. 😉

GLITTER: What can you tell us about your role as Tory in the upcoming season of Cobra Kai without giving anything away?

PEYTON: Tory is easily the most badass intense character I’ve ever played. If I came across her in life I would not mess with her. She is a newcomer to Cobra Kai. She ends up joining the dojo finding crush within it, and also making a couple enemies along the way.

GLITTER: How did you audition for the show?

PEYTON: I received the audition super last minute the night before and never in my wildest dreams would’ve thought I could play the character. It was such a happy shock when I got it.

GLITTER: What is it like playing Tory? Are you like her in any way in real life?

PEYTON: I think I definitely have a side of me that is like her or an alter tough ego that I wish came out more. She is cutthroat and will always stand up for what’s right. I think I tend to shy away from confrontation but when it is necessary my inner Tory comes out. Ha

GLITTER: We also know you love recording music as well. Do you play any instruments?

PEYTON: I played the violin growing up in school but really haven’t since. I play the acoustic guitar, and am taking lessons from friends.

GLITTER: How would you describe your sound?

PEYTON: I would describe it as alt-pop.

GLITTER: Will we see an album from you soon?

PEYTON: Definitely another single soon.I’ve been writing a lot of new music this year. Also, just wrote/recorded a single with one of my best friends called “Bros.” I’m in love with it.

GLITTER: What is your top travel item for the girl on the go that you cannot live without?

PEYTON: The First Aid Beauty Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C jelly mask is so nice when traveling it is so hydrating, and leaves my skin glowing. Also the PAPAW lip ointment works wonders.

GLITTER: How often do you meditate?

PEYTON: I try to do yoga at least twice a week. I think even if I don’t meditate some time to just sit in the sun or take time to yourself is so important.

GLITTER: What do you love to do in your spare time?

PEYTON: I’m always with my girls having sleepovers and dance parties. I also love reading with my dogs in my parents’ backyard.

GLITTER: If you weren’t an actress, what would you want to do instead?

PEYTON: I’d love to do something in the fashion world or set decorating would be such a fun job constantly transforming spaces.

GLITTER: How do you stay grounded in this business?

PEYTON: I spend a lot of time with my family and friends who keep me in line. I really lead a super normal life I do my job, clean my own messes, and have my close friends and family. I think if they ever see me fall too far into becoming something I’m not they will check me ha.

GLITTER: What is something fans may not know about you?

PEYTON: I think just how much of a mess I am. Most days I’m wearing no makeup with my acne out and sweatpants on, and I LOVE IT. It is easy to get caught up in the images people put out there on social media, but at the end of the day that is just a highlight reel ha. I also just really am never serious and am always joking around.
