Netflix Announces Premiere Date for Final Season of ‘Orange is the New Black’
The seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black is coming to Netflix soon.
Viewers will get to see Piper’s struggle with life on the outside, Taystee’s friendship with Cindy as she faces a life sentence, among other inmates’ stories. From the teaser and photos, it appears that Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon, Danielle Brooks, Dascha Polanco, Taryn Manning, Adrienne C. Moore, Diane Guerrero, Jackie Cruz, Natasha Lyonne, and Kate Mulgrew will all be back.
In a teaser video for the last season, the cast — including Danielle Brooks, Taylor Schilling, Dascha Polanco and others — sings the theme to the opening credits, Regina Spektor’s “You’ve Got Time.”
“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison,” says showrunner Jenji Kohan. “I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black.” Of course, we are sad to see the series come to an end, but we are also excited to see how the show wraps up.
The season will be available on the Netflix on July 26, so get ready.
