“Drunk on Saturday” is a single that accompanies the announcement of iLoveMakonnen’s new EP M3.
M3 will be iLoveMakonnen’s first official album in about three years. Most recently, he released the song “I’ve Been Waiting” with collaborator Fall Out Boy. This song was a tribute to his close friend and fellow artist, Lil Peep, who passed away recently. Since then we haven’t heard anything, but this announcement serves to prove the iLoveMakonnen is ready to create.

“Drunk on Saturday” is a song about coping with the mistake we all make in relationships. It’s all about wanting things to be back to the way they were, but knowing they can’t. This is best expressed in the lyrics “and now I’m drunk on Saturday still lonely feeling sad I didn’t love you like I should.”
