Does Daenerys of ‘Games of Thrones’ Drink Starbucks?
Season 8, episode 4 of Game of Thrones recently showed the Mother of Dragons drinking out of… a Starbucks cup?
If you watched the episode, you probably noticed something out of the ordinary: what appeared to be a Starbucks coffee cup. It left us all wondering whether there was Starbucks in Westeros, and most importantly, what drink Daenerys orders. It, of course, didn’t take long for the accidental prop to become a meme.

TBH we’re surprised she didn’t order a Dragon Drink.

Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones talks about what happened on Instagram. Apparently, Jason Momoa, the actor who played Khal Drogo in earlier seasons, was stopping by to say hello and everyone became distracted. We don’t blame them, we’d be distracted by him too.

HBO has since deleted the cup from the episode and admitted it was a mistake. The show’s art director has also clarified that the cup was not a Starbucks brand, but just a look-alike. Oops.
