You Have to Listen to Carly Rae Jepsen’s New Song

With her newest album, Dedicated, on its way, Carly Rae Jepsen has dropped “Too Much.”

“Too Much” is really leaning into Carly Rae Jepsen’s synth pop and slightly disco sound. It is bouncy and fun to dance to, but also has a bit of an edge to it. It is a great song that talks about how it feels to be totally infatuated with someone.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s music is constantly improving. “Too Much” is the 5th track she has released from Dedicated. “Julien,” “Now That I Found You,” “No Drug Like Me” and “Party for One,” have already been released, and it is sure to only get better from here. Jepsen has been very open about the fact that she wrote over two-hundred songs that she pulled from to create this album, which means it is sure to be carefully-curated. No doubt, it will be incredible.

So much has happened to Carly Res Jepsen’s sound since the days of “Call Me Maybe.” She has kept her fun and upbeat style, but also found a maturity and niche all her own. It has all been welcome change and we can’t wait to see what she does next. Make sure you listen to Dedicated when it releases on May 17th.
