Prince’s ‘The Beautiful Ones’ Finally Has a Release Date

That’s right! The Prince memoir is finally a reality that has us all dancing in the Purple Rain.

According to the Associated Press, The Beautiful Ones will be released via Random House on October 29, 2019. The memoir will be 288 pages full of the life and legacy of the 80’s master himself and will have an introduction by Dan Piepenbring of The New Yorker.

The Beautiful Ones was first announced one month before Prince’s passing at the age of 57 in April 2016. Publishing agent Esther Newberg disclosed that Prince had submitted roughly 50 handwritten pages for the memoir.

Random House describes the The Beautiful Ones as “the deeply personal account of how Prince Rogers Nelson became the Prince we know: the real-time story of a kid absorbing the world around him and creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life before the hits and the fame that would come to define him.”
