With her new single “Sixteen”, Ellie Goulding honors the teenage experience.
Ellie Goulding currently has a number two song on the Billboard Top 100 and has a new song coming out on the first-ever Game of Thrones soundtrack, so this newest single is coming at the top of her game. “Sixteen” is a fun and dance-worthy homage to being sixteen years old and it’s totally worth a listen.

“That age was such a pivotal year for me in many ways and this song is so close to my heart. It takes me back to the reckless days of being a teenager and I hope it reminds us all about the innocence of youth,” Goulding says of the song. The upbeat tempo and lightly styled vocals of Goulding come together to create a wonderful melody. Alongside this, the lyric video features hundreds of pictures of Goulding’s fans enjoying their teenage years. The photos truly bring back memories of what being sixteen was like.
