Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson reunited, telling fans to “stay tuned”.

Streisand and Kristofferson, who played love interests in the musical remake of A Star Is Born in 1976, came together this past week to tease the fans of their classic movie, and the fans of its many renditions, about upcoming collaborations. While this is not the first time they have reunited, their reunion follows the success the most recent remake of the film starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Just as Streisand won the Oscar for Best Original Song for her song “Evergreen,” Gaga won the Oscar for Best Original Song for her song “Shallow,” at the 2019 Oscars.

Directed by Bradley Cooper, the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born reignited a new generation’s passion and appreciation for the film. However, neither Cooper’s nor Streisand’s remakes are the original A Star Is Born, as the movie was also remade in 1954, starring Judy Garland and James Mason, and was originally made in 1937 starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. Consistently telling the story of a washed-up star who helps make a young, aspiring actress/singer famous, the film’s plot has varied throughout the years, but it has always remained close to its roots.

Streisand captioned her photo on Instagram saying, “It was so wonderful to see my friend Kris who stopped by yesterday. Stay tuned…” See the adorable photo below, and we can’t wait to see what they do next!
