The Fab Five + Congresswoman AOC Is the Team We Never Knew We Needed
Together they are the ultimate dream team.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been making waves since she was sworn in as a Congresswoman. She has truly been an inspiration to us all, including Queer Eye‘s Fab Five. Four out of the Fab Five (Antoni, Tan, Bobby, and Jonathan) got to hang out with AOC, as well as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and the pictures and videos they posted still have us screaming.

The Fab Five met with AOC to discuss the Equality Act, which is a bill that would prohibit discrimination based on sexuality and gender identity in “employment, housing, credit, education, public spaces and services, federally funded programs, and jury service.” They are trying to find ways to spread awareness about the bill so that more people can vote for it and help change the world. Currently, the LGTBQ+ community is suffering from discrimination in every aspect of their lives and so the goal of AOC and the Fab Five is to end that discrimination in order to allow equal opportunities for all.
AOC is really taking these initiatives to get the message out and change our current system. As Tan said in his Instagram caption “The future is female”.
We are so glad to see Congresswoman Alexandria continuing to push for change and to help others through her activism and her collaboration with social leaders such as the Fab Five. This new dynamic team is one we didn’t know we needed but now that we have it, we hope to see more of it.
