You Need to See What Ben Platt and James Corden Did

In the April 2nd episode of The Late Show musical theatre moguls Ben Platt and James Corden performed ‘Soundtrack to a Bromance.’

This amazing musical journey featured the two men performing twelve songs and telling the story of two childhood friends growing up together, losing each other, and then, ultimately, reconnecting. While hilarious, it was also touching, musically beautiful, and very well done. The two did the entire piece in one take in front of a live audience and didn’t miss a beat. Their acting was impeccable, and Ben Platt’s vocals really stole the show.

After his amazing run as the title character in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, Ben Platt has become known for his musical talent, so audience members were more than happy to see him show it off. James Corden also has a beautiful voice which he uses regularly in skits and his well-known series Carpool Karaoke. Overall, the bit was fabulous.

Platt was actually on the show to promote his new album Sing To Me Instead, which he performed a song from on the show. All in all, it was a very fun and music-filled night on The Late Show. Make sure to check out Ben Platt’s new album on Spotify.
